Die Stoner-Metal-Band 1000MODS aus Griechenland hat sich mit einer einzigartigen Mischung aus kraftvollen Riffs und ungestümer Energie einen Platz in der internationalen Szene erobert. Auf dem Hellfest liefern sie eine Kostprobe ihres Könnens.

1000MODS wurde 2006 in Griechenland gegründet und besteht aus Dani G. (Vocals und Bass), Giannis S. (Gitarre), Giorgos T. (Gitarre) und Labros G. (Schlagzeug). Zu ihren wichtigsten musikalischen Einflüssen zählen Bands wie Black Sabbath, Colour Haze, Kyuss, Red Fang und MC5.

1000MODS veröffentlichten in rascher Folge die beiden zwei Eps Blank Reality (2007) und Liquid Sleep (2009) und produzierten im Oktober 2010 schließlich ihr Debütalbum Super Van Vacation gemeinsam mit Billy Anderson (Sleep, Neurosis). Um das Werk zu promoten, gingen sie auf zwei Europatourneen mit 40 Konzerten in 15 Ländern und performten auf Festivals wie dem Rockwave Festival, dem Desertfest und Lake on Fire.

Ihr zweites Album Vultures wurde im Mai 2014 auf The Lab Records veröffentlicht. Es folgten zwei Europatourneen, darunter 2014 die sehr eng getaktete zweimonatige Tournee "Claws Over Europe". Im September 2016 veröffentlichte die Band ihr drittes Album Repeated Exposure To … bei Ouga Booga and the Mighty Oug Recordings. Ihre Tour 2017, "Repeated and Exposed To …" umfasste insgesamt 42 Termine in 15 europäischen Ländern. Will heißen: Die Band ist bühnenerprobt! 1000MODS präsentieren beim Hellfest unter anderem Songs aus ihrem vierten Album Youth of Dissent (2020).
