Erinnern Sie sich? Von 1965 bis 1972 versammelten sich Jugendliche aus ganz Deutschland einmal im Monat,immer samstagnachmittags, vor den TV-Geräten, um die erste Jugendsendung im deutschen Fernsehen anzuschauen: den Beat-Club.


Musik, Mode,Politik und Generationenkonflikte: Der „Beat-Club“ hat die Jugendkultur der sechziger und siebziger Jahre in Deutschland geprägt und dokumentiert. Es war nicht nur eine Fernsehsendung. Der Beat-Club war eine Lebenseinstellung.


Hier traten die angesagtesten Stars der damaligen Musikszene auf. Zwischen 1965 und 1972 produzierte Radio Bremen 80 original Beat-Club-Sendungen, die in dieser DVD-Edition erstmals in voller Länge enthalten sind.


Beat-Club Vol. 1 zeigt auf 8 DVDs die Beat-Club-Sendungen 1 bis 35 und erinnert an die Stars und die Hits der Jahre 1965 bis 1968. Im Studio 3 von Radio Bremen gaben sich Sonny & Cher, Jimi Hendrix, The Pretty Things, The Rattles, The Lords, The Hollies, The Walker Brothers, The Who, The Animals, The Kinks, Cream, The Small Faces, Bee Gees, Manfred Mann und Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich u.v.a. die Klinke in die Hand.


Bild und Ton wurden sorgfältig digital überarbeitet und machen diese Zeitreise zu einem Genuss für Augen und Ohren!
