What's new in Windows 11
- Windows 11 will receive a completely new design. Microsoft clearly needs a good reason to reverse its past claims and still ditch Windows 10 by introducing a new operating system number. And a completely new design is great for that. The Redmond giant has long been preparing a redesign for an update with the code name Sun Valley ("Sun Valley") - apparently, under this naming it was Windows 11. The Sun Valley project flashed on the network for a long time - Microsoft regularly disclosed details of the new interface style, insiders shared the unknown previously information, and popular designers in their circles drew realistic concepts based on all this data.

- Start and system elements will float above the bottom bar. Start is the calling card and face of every recent version of Windows. Not surprisingly, in Windows 11, developers will transform it again, but not so much in functional as in visual terms - the Start window will hover above the bottom bar. We have to admit that this small change makes the appearance of the system much fresher. Judging by information from the network, Microsoft will not radically change the "insides" of this menu - the innovations will affect only the design of the window itself. The control panel will also float, and its design will be exactly the same as that of the "Start". The action center will be combined with the control buttons together - a similar one has long been used in some other operating systems. Almost all mentions of this new menu indicate that it will be island - the control buttons will be located on one separate panel, notifications will be on another, and specific elements (like a player) on another separate one.

- Right angles will disappear, they will be replaced
by fillets. In truth, insiders and concept designers disagree on this point - some are confident that Microsoft will not change its traditions and will keep right angles, while others are convinced that in 2021 Microsoft will follow the fashion for fillets. The latter fits better with the definition of "completely new Windows" - just hovering menus are not enough for a new design to be considered truly new. Fillets are expected to affect virtually everything in the system, from context menus and system panels to all application windows. True, even on this issue, the opinions of concept designers differ - some draw fillets in all possible interface elements, others combine them with right angles.

- There will be a translucent background with blur everywhere. There is disagreement on the web about the island style of displaying windows, the design of the corners and the levitation effect of the menu, but almost everyone is unanimous about the transparency of the windows. The vast majority of leaks and design renders show transparency and blur in all windows, be it at least the Start menu or Explorer. Moreover, these effects are even in the assembly of the canceled Windows 10X operating system, which Microsoft was developing for devices with two screens and weak gadgets in parallel with the Sun Valley project. The so-called acrylic transparency implies the use of new effects when hovering over elements, as well as increased spacing between elements - those areas of the interface with which the user interacts will certainly become larger, and page titles will be thickened.
- New font that has already been shown. Windows 11 will most likely use the default responsive Segoe UI Variable font, which has already appeared in Windows 10 Build 21376 for Insiders. Its advantage is that it is equally well suited for small texts and large inscriptions. This distinguishes it from standard fonts, which are initially created for either small size or large size. For example, the stable version of Windows 10 currently uses the Segoe UI font, designed for 9pt. In smaller inscriptions, it becomes poorly legible, and in large inscriptions it looks expressionless.

- Windows 11 will have new icons, and Windows 95 icons will disappear. Yes, they are still in use today. Microsoft will finally transform the icons that are used throughout the system. Windows 11. Der Hauptteil dieser Ankündigung sollte die Präsentation einer bedeutenden Änderung der Benutzeroberfläche mit dem Codenamen Sun Valley sein. Was ist neu in Windows 11?
- Windows 11 erhält ein komplett neues Design. Microsoft braucht eindeutig einen guten Grund, seine früheren Behauptungen umzukehren und dennoch Windows 10 durch die Einführung einer neuen Betriebssystemnummer aufzugeben. Und ein völlig neues Design eignet sich hervorragend dafür. Der Redmonder Gigant bereitet seit langem ein Redesign für ein Update mit dem Codenamen Sun Valley („Sun Valley“) vor – offenbar handelte es sich unter diesem Namen um Windows 11. Das Sun Valley-Projekt flimmerte schon lange im Netz – Microsoft regelmäßig enthüllte Details des neuen Interface-Stils, Insider teilten bisher unbekannte Informationen und beliebte Designer in ihren Kreisen zeichneten realistische Konzepte auf der Grundlage all dieser Daten.

- Start- und Systemelemente schweben über der unteren Leiste. Start ist die Visitenkarte und das Gesicht jeder aktuellen Windows-Version. Es überrascht nicht, dass die Entwickler es in Windows 11 erneut umgestalten werden, allerdings nicht so sehr in funktionaler als in optischer Hinsicht – das Startfenster schwebt über der unteren Leiste. Wir müssen zugeben, dass diese kleine Änderung das Erscheinungsbild des Systems viel frischer macht. Den Informationen aus dem Netzwerk nach zu urteilen, wird Microsoft das „Innere“ dieses Menüs nicht radikal verändern – die Neuerungen werden sich nur auf das Design des Fensters selbst auswirken. Das Bedienfeld wird ebenfalls schweben und sein Design wird genau dem des „Start“ entsprechen. Das Action Center wird mit den Steuertasten zusammengelegt – ein ähnliches wird schon lange in manchen anderen Betriebssystemen verwendet. Fast alle Erwähnungen dieses neuen Menüs deuten darauf hin, dass es sich um ein Inselmenü handeln wird – die Steuertasten werden sich auf einem separaten Bedienfeld befinden, Benachrichtigungen auf einem anderen und bestimmte Elemente (wie ein Player) auf einem anderen separaten Bedienfeld.

- Rechte Winkel verschwinden, sie werden ersetzt
durch Filets. In Wahrheit sind sich Insider und Konzeptdesigner in diesem Punkt nicht einig – einige sind zuversichtlich, dass Microsoft seine Traditionen nicht ändern und den rechten Winkel wahren wird, während andere davon überzeugt sind, dass Microsoft im Jahr 2021 der Filet-Mode folgen wird. Letzteres passt besser zur Definition von „völlig neuem Windows“ – nur schwebende Menüs reichen nicht aus, um ein neues Design als wirklich neu zu betrachten. Es wird erwartet, dass sich Filets praktisch auf alles im System auswirken, von Kontextmenüs und Systemfenstern bis hin zu allen Anwendungsfenstern. Zwar gehen die Meinungen der Konzeptdesigner auch zu diesem Thema auseinander – einige zeichnen Rundungen in allen möglichen Oberflächenelementen, andere kombinieren sie mit rechten Winkeln.

- Überall ist ein durchscheinender Hintergrund mit Unschärfe zu sehen. Über den Inselstil der Schaufenster, die Gestaltung der Ecken und den Schwebeeffekt des Menüs herrscht im Internet Uneinigkeit, über die Transparenz der Fenster sind sich jedoch fast alle einig. Die überwiegende Mehrheit der Leaks und Design-Renderings zeigen Transparenz und Unschärfe in allen Fenstern, sei es zumindest im Startmenü oder im Explorer. Darüber hinaus stecken diese Effekte auch in der Zusammenstellung des eingestellten Betriebssystems Windows 10X, das Microsoft parallel zum Sun Valley-Projekt für Geräte mit zwei Bildschirmen und schwachen Geräten entwickelt hat. Die sogenannte Acryltransparenz impliziert die Verwendung neuer Effekte beim Bewegen des Mauszeigers über Elemente sowie einen größeren Abstand zwischen Elementen – die Bereiche der Benutzeroberfläche, mit denen der Benutzer interagiert, werden sicherlich größer und Seitentitel werden dicker.
- Neue Schriftart, die bereits angezeigt wurde. Windows 11 wird höchstwahrscheinlich die standardmäßige responsive Segoe UI Variable-Schriftart verwenden, die bereits in Windows 10 Build 21376 für Insider enthalten ist. Sein Vorteil besteht darin, dass es für kleine Texte und große Inschriften gleichermaßen gut geeignet ist. Dies unterscheidet sie von Standardschriftarten, die zunächst entweder für kleine oder große Schriftarten erstellt werden. Beispielsweise verwendet die stabile Version von Windows 10 derzeit die Schriftart Segoe UI, die für 9pt entwickelt wurde. Bei kleineren Inschriften wird es schlecht lesbar und bei großen Inschriften wirkt es ausdruckslos.

- Windows 11 wird neue Symbole haben und die Symbole von Windows 95 werden verschwinden. Ja, sie werden heute noch verwendet. Microsoft wird endlich die im gesamten System verwendeten Symbole umgestalten. Dabei geht es nicht nur um Verknüpfungen zu Ordnern, Papierkörben und anderen Symbolen im Explorer. Es gibt immer noch Icons aus der Zeit von Windows 95, und erst kürzlich hat Microsoft ihr Design in einer der Insider-Assemblys aktualisiert – natürlich werden sie auf Windows 11 migrieren.
