Windows Server 2022

FWindows Server 2022 is the next release in the long term service channel. It introduces advanced multi-layered security, hybrid capabilities with Azure, and a flexible application platform.

Add. Information : With this release, Windows Server gains secure core capabilities to protect systems that will run workloads on Windows Server 2022. Protected Server is based on technologies such as Windows Defender System Guard and Security-Based Virtualization to minimize the risk of vulnerabilities firmware and advanced malware. The new release also ensures secure connections by introducing several new features such as faster and more secure encrypted HTTPS connections and standard AES 256 SMB encryption. Windows Server 2022 improves the management of hybrid servers and features enhanced event viewing and many other new features in the Windows Admin Center . This release also includes improvements to Windows containers, such as smaller image sizes for faster loading times, simplified network policy implementation, and containerization tools for .NET applications.

Support for Windows Server 2022 LTSC
Standard support for Windows Server 2022 LTSC will continue until 10/13/2026, and extended support will continue until 10/14/2031.

SMB compression: No longer do users and applications need to manually compress ZIP files during transfers, everything happens automatically.
