Seit drei Jahrzehnten arbeitet der Bochumer Gitarrist wie ein Schweizer Uhrmacher und veröffentlicht konsequent bodenständige Alben, die von Kritikern herzlich aufgenommen wurden. Der Musiker hat mehr als 1,7 Millionen verkaufte Platten, sein vorheriges Album "Knights Call" (2018) erreichte die Top 10 der deutschen nationalen Charts und hat aktuell 2,6 Millionen Streams. Wichtig ist aber nicht die Quantität, sondern die Qualität, und insofern ist sie immer stabil. Zunehmend ist das Wort „Kult“ in Bezug auf Axel zu hören. Wenn jemand so lange erfolgreich ist, dann hat er es verdient.
Der 59-jährige Gitarrist kennt sein Können gut, kann sich aber dennoch selbst überraschen, wie es bei „Sign Of The Times“ der Fall war. „Ich weiß nicht warum, aber ich habe alle Songs mindestens einen Monat früher als geplant fertig.“ Alle Scans sind gestickt und bearbeitet

For three decades, the Bochum-based guitarist has worked like a Swiss watchmaker, consistently releasing down-to-earth albums that have been warmly received by critics. The musician has sold more than 1.7 million records, his previous album "Knights Call" (2018) reached the top 10 of the German national charts and currently has 2.6 million streams. However, it is not quantity that is important, but quality, and in this respect it is always stable. Increasingly, the word "cult" can be heard in reference to Axel. If someone is successful for so long, then he deserves it.
The 59-year-old guitarist knows his skills well, but can still surprise himself, as was the case with "Sign Of The Times". "I don't know why, but I finished all the songs at least a month ahead of schedule." All scans are stitched and edited
